Dr Sulaiman Yusof specialises in robotic-assisted & laparoscopic procedures for hernia repair, cholecystectomy, hemicolectomy & anterior resection.
Dr. Sulaiman’s journey began at the University of Sheffield, where he graduated in 2002. He honed his skills during his house officer and basic surgical training in the UK before returning to Singapore. There, he completed his Advanced Surgical Training at Changi General Hospital and earned the Joint Speciality Fellowship in General Surgery in 2013.
His commitment to colorectal surgery led him to the prestigious Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia, thanks to the Human Manpower Development Award from the Ministry of Health. This fellowship enriched his expertise in managing complex colorectal cancers.
Back in Singapore, Dr. Sulaiman transitioned from open to minimally invasive colorectal surgery, mastering the robotic platform. He is one of the few surgeons listed on the Da Vinci Xi surgeon locator, highlighting his advanced skills.
Dr. Sulaiman’s dedication extends beyond surgery. As the Director of Endoscopy, he has held numerous administrative and educational roles. He is passionate about teaching, contributing significantly to undergraduate education at Yong Yoo Lin, Lee Kong Chian, and Duke’s medical programs. His efforts earned him the title of Adjunct Associate Professor and numerous awards, including the Dean’s Honor Roll for teaching. He has also published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles.
Known for his compassion and warmth, Dr. Sulaiman has built enduring relationships with his patients. His consistent quality of care has been recognized with numerous Singapore Health Quality Service Awards, culminating in the prestigious Star Award in 2023.
