Privacy policy
What this site collects, and what happens to it.
This policy covers drsulaiman.com.sg. It explains what personal information the site collects, why, who it is shared with, and how to ask for a copy or a correction. It is written to meet Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.

What we collect when you enquire
The enquiry form on this site asks for four things. Three are required and one is optional.
- Your name. So the clinic knows who it is replying to.
- Your mobile number. This is how the clinic replies. The form hands you over to WhatsApp, so the number you give is the number the conversation continues on.
- What the enquiry is about. This is health information, and we treat it that way. It is used to route your enquiry to the right person and to prepare for your consultation. It is not used for advertising, and it is not sold.
- How you heard about us, if you choose to answer. Optional. It helps the practice understand which of its channels actually reach patients.
The form does not ask for your NRIC, your address, your date of birth or any payment details, and you should not put them in it. If the clinic needs those for your care, it will collect them directly.
What happens after you press send
Your enquiry is recorded so the clinic can respond to it, and your browser then opens WhatsApp so you can continue the conversation with the clinic. The record is held by Akros Consultancy, which runs this website and the clinic's enquiry system on the practice's behalf, and is used only for that purpose.
Once you are in WhatsApp, that conversation is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy as well as this one.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange an appointment.
- To prepare for and provide your consultation and care.
- To keep the practice's own records of enquiries and appointments.
- To understand which parts of the website and which channels bring patients to the clinic, so the practice does not spend money on ones that do not.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies and measurement
This site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement. These set cookies in your browser, currently named _ga, _ga_3C4HBC47JJ, _ga_Z0GK6J76MB and _gcl_au. They tell us how many people visited a page, roughly where in the world they were, and whether a visit came from an advertisement. They do not tell us who you are, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.
If you arrive from a Google advertisement, the click carries an identifier that lets us count the enquiry against that advertisement. It is a number, not a name.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site works normally without them.
Who else sees your information
- The clinic and its staff, so they can answer you and treat you.
- Akros Consultancy, which operates this website and the enquiry system for the practice.
- WhatsApp, because the enquiry continues there, on the number you provide.
- Google, for the anonymous website measurement described above. Google does not receive your name, your number or what your enquiry is about.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example to a court, a regulator, or where there is a serious risk to someone's life or health.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are needed to respond to you and to meet the practice's obligation to keep proper medical and business records. Medical records in Singapore are subject to retention requirements set by the Ministry of Health and by the Singapore Medical Council, and clinical records are kept for as long as those require. When information is no longer needed for any of those purposes, it is deleted.
Your choices
You can, at any time:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information the practice holds about you.
- Ask for it to be corrected if it is wrong.
- Withdraw your consent to being contacted. Tell us and we will stop. If you withdraw consent we may not be able to arrange or continue your care, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Use the contact details below. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can. There may be a small fee for a copy of a full medical record, which we will tell you about before doing the work.
Keeping it safe
Information sent through this site travels over an encrypted connection, and access to enquiry records is limited to the people who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If something goes wrong in a way that puts your information at significant risk, we will notify you and the Personal Data Protection Commission as the law requires.
Children
This site is written for adults. If you are enquiring on behalf of a child, please say so, and use your own contact details.
Contact
For anything in this policy, including access, correction and withdrawal of consent, contact the practice.
